32 or 64 bit CPU?

I am in the process of setting up a new machine, and since I enjoy assembling and installing Linux on my own, I prefer not to buy branded computers. Many of these branded computers don't provide proper device drivers for linux anyway

So those of us on linux often avoid the latest cutting edge hardware because it takes a while for device drivers to catch up. These are mostly written by independent software developers, who may not have caught up with the latest hardware updates or simply don't have the time

My concern now is whether to choose a 64-bit system, which may have unstable device drivers, or a 32-bit system, which may become obsolete within a few months. It must be nice not to be a geek
