Web Cams

When will manufacturers break away from the dark lord at M$. When I buy my own hardware I make absolutely sure that it's supported on linux. Being a geek I sometimes get 'gadgets' as presents. Three months ago I recieved a very expensive web camera as a birthday present.

This creative camera unfortunately isn't supported on linux yet. Looks like I should keep away from linux in the future.
