CMU Sphinx

Just installed CMU Sphinx. Had a look the docs and it kind of made my head spin. In case you have read past entries in this blog you would know that I am the kind of guy who reads tech docs for relaxation the way other people read novels.

Having trouble with he docs I then decided to try the next best thing - just blindly run the program. After all that's what many people using the M$ operating systems do (and end up losing all their data).

So what happened when I ran the programs? - Core Dump.

March 23, 2023 Update : Revisiting this topic after a long time, I found that CMU Sphinx is still being developed even though not very actively and according to their own admission no longer even close to cutting edge. They had released an update in 2022 - after a gap of 10 years.
