SFTPJuly 30, 2004The time has come for the release of version 1.31 of the java SFTP applet Though I keep referring to the applet there are in fact two different clients. One is the applet that runs in your browser and the other is a standalone client that runs in your desktop. What's special about an SFTP applet is that until we came along people used to think this kind of thing was impossible to be done with java - since then a couple of other SFTP applets have appeared on the scene as well as a few FTP applets (we have our own as well.) The previous release of Rad SFTP was more than a month ago and I like to think that reflects the growing maturity of the software. In fact the applet will be one year old in August. We plan to celebrate by starting work on version 2.0.
