Finally after a gap of nearly an year, Log Mine version 0.02 sees the light of day . Version 0.02 is a drastic change from version 0.01. It has to be technology has changed a lot since the previous version was released in June of 2005. That change is most noticable in AJAX being the hot topic.

Though AJAX certainly is a hyped up technology, it does have it's uses and these usefull attributes have been put to good use in Log Mine 0.02. That in turn has allowed the easy use of XML/XSLT with the transformations happening at the client side rather than on the server.

Detailed changes follow:

• Most of the reports are generated at the server in XML formats, they are then transformed by XSL to generate the HTML reports. AJAX is used for this puporse
• The use of AJAX allows dynamic sort with different columns as the primary key.
• The page details report was broken in 0.01 and has bene fixed in the current
  version.
• The search queries report was broken in 0.01 it has now been fixed but still seems to be very very slow.
