Apple shooting wild.

March 16, 2007

Microsoft's launch of Vista has given apple a fine marketing opportunity but they don't seem to be grabbing it.

I was on the phone with a scientist friend of mine. She wants to buy a new notebook and I suggested a macbook. She wasn't too keen to do that because she is used to Windows XP! Then I told her that she would have to get used to Vista all over again. I told her to switch to the real thing. I told her imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and because Vista PCs need so much Ram the real thing is cheaper!

But why do I have to do Apple's marketing for them? Shouldn't they be hitting the streets asking people to switch to the real thing? Instead they seem more determine to grab 3% of Nokia's market. Classic case of trying to win all and losing all.
