Lanka Bell Crawls to a halt.August 28, 2008Lanka Bell Wimax has been slower than Dialog but last evening it disappeared all together. Fell off the face of the earth. A connection would be established but you cannot use it, nothing can be pinged, sshed, telneted or fingered.  Then normal service was restored last this morning. Assuming that 80 kbps download speed can be called normal for a 2mbps line. Even that was only for a brief period. It disappeared all too soon. But their response was pretty good, more on that later. Footnoted (added 10 Sep): They fixed it and speeds are now very good - faster than dialog wimax has ever been.
