I rarely have anything good to say about Sri Lankan ISPs. This time I do. My Lanka Bell broadband connection suffered a major slow down a little while ago. I gave it a bit of time to get back to normal but didn’t seem like it would do so on it’s own. So I called Lanka Bell - Specifically I called Ishara Dayaranthna in their network team. He had it fixed in a matter of minutes. Great show.
The download link at least is running at full speed now that’s a rare sight here in Sri Lanka. Looks like I have finally found a good ISP after about 10 years for searching.
I’m also using LankaBell WiMax and it’s most the stable connection comparing to SLT ADSL.
If you don’t mind, can you please post some speedtest reports on US and UK. Most of the time,for Male you get good speeds as their parent ISP is SLT. And most of the time you get ping results on SLT ADSL connections(http://www.speedtest.net/result/339087100.png). But I think check the real international bottlenecks we need to check for US and UK as most of the services are hosted there.
