I know quite a few languages but I suddenly realized that I have not learned any new language for more than 10 years. Sure I did make half baked attempts to learn ColdFusion, Ruby and I am ashamed to say even C# (but using mono). Never put in the effort required and never mastered any of them. What little I learnt has already been forgotten.
That doesn’t mean I have been stagnating for the last 10 years, I have certainly learnt a lot of new things but they have mostly been related to architecture and design. So I reckon it’s time that I add something new to my knowledge base and thought of learning python. Let’s see if it turns out to be another half baked attempt.
If I can hold my interest for a month, I should be able to get a good grasp of the language but unfortunately my attention span is short.
