Qemu and Lost Mouse Pointers

Recently, I installed DSL - Damned Small Linux on as a guest operating system under Qemu and found that the mouse and the keyboard wouldn't respond after the boot up process had been completed. At the time I concluded that it is a quirk in DSL and gave up on it.
