Profiling Java Apps with Netbeans

Had a go at at the Netbeans profiler. The first thought that comes to mind is that it is rather strange. It will only work with the java 5 update 4 or Java 6. The java 6 early access was made available only a few days ago.

Immidately upon upgrading from update 3 to update 4, Netbeans refused to start up. But that was soon put right by editing the netbeans.conf file:
